PARADISE UPDATE

Soooo sorry, so much time has passed and no Blog update yet. It’s been a very frustrating time, regarding Paradise and Sid’s wrists, but we are also having fun and happy times regarding having been so lucky to have found this incredible beautiful house we are renting and for the wonderful friends we have made.

Paradise update in short: The marina was supposed to have the trailer for us for 2 to 3 days, but the new guy in the marina has no fudging idea what he is doing and therefor he is too important as he has power to make decisions, even though he has to go through the marina manager. He will not listen but instead talks around every issue and thinks he has accomplished and incredible thing telling us lies after lies and his ideas thinking he convinced us he is doing a great job us waiting again and again.  I don’t know what management is thinking here. Omar that has been working this yard for years helping cruisers issues with success was placed into the regular marina and instead and this new little know it all shit (1 year now) has been place in charge of the yard business. He does not know anything about boats at all, not even after being here for a year now. A shame as all the cruisers having been here or are still in this yard are frustrated as heck and they all vow not to ever return to this marina, especially with the rate per month having gone from 460 to 900 in just a couple of months. This “know-it-al” decided he would fix up the little trailer for us to use, even though we were already promised to use the working one. He told us 2 weeks max, we are now on week 7 and no repairs have been done, he just brings up it’s a minor thing they have left to do, beyond BS. So we finally told him that we are tired of waiting as he made us miss a good window without heat and humidity to fix the keel. We are postponing until later as Manuela is going to Switzerland next Tuesday until August 9th. After that is high rainy and hurricane season, no fun to work in the sweltering yard. Probably good thing as Sid two days before her trip fell and hurt his ribs. So we are shooting for the right time before all the snowbirds are coming back and hogging the yard.

Sid is also still recuperating from his failed carpectomy surgery but is getting better, slowly, but good thing is it is getting better.

Manuela keeps busy with all kind of things including giving noodling water aerobics every morning. As soon as she is back she promises she will update the blog to the fullest.

Until then have a happy summer, stay cool, have fun, stay healthy and enjoy life wherever you are

Hugs and kisses to you all, life is still good.
